The template for hosting a standalone web app in its own subdirectory.

A deliberately small standalone app: one HTML page, a stylesheet and a few lines of JavaScript, with no framework and no build step. It lives in apps/hello-static/ and is served at /lab/hello-static/.
It is a template for dropping in any built web app (pattern B in the README). Put an app’s source in apps/<name>/. At build time, scripts/build-apps.mjs copies it into the site under /lab/<name>/. If the app has a package.json with a build script (Vite, React, Svelte, anything), the script runs that build and copies the output instead. Such apps must be built with their base path set to /lab/<name>/.
